The Chennai Discrimination

The D-Factor - Conditional Access System.. Was it a good initiative?? Seemed so.. Was it feasible?? No.. Was it cost effective?? No.. Was it, or rather, is it popular?? A BIG NO.. Then why the hell is it still operative in Chennai?? Is it bcos of political reasons?? May be.. Is it bcos a normal household can enrich its knowledge and satisfy its entertainment needs by watching the soaps that go on for years?? Never.. Then Why are the poor youth of Chennai being punished just for being born here?? God knows..
Another thing about CAS is that it was to be introduced in 4 metros (Only one big fish got into the net, though).. I don’t understand the logic behind it.. how could one try a new system in a metropolitan.. how could they take such a big sample for an experiment.. Who will you test a new drug on, a guinea pig or a HUMAN BEING?? Fine they made a mistake, can’t they rectify it.. Now even the Delhi High Court is endorsing it.. Come on, the system seems to be a good one, but the it needs a set top box. It should actually be called a SET UP box as it costs nearly 3500 bucks to set it up.. The youth of Chennai really hate this because, this system deprives them of Sports and movies.. Todays historic cricket chase by South Africans couldn’t be watched by Lakhs of cricket lovers in Chennai is a fine example of this fact..
Every one in India has equal rights, but why should Chennaiites pay a price for it??
